Soil Excavation and Soil Management

Coordinating large and even small scale excavation projects takes a strong field management team with the ability to apply safe and effective techniques which maximize the production level of the equipment. FNC fields a complete team of professionals including supervisors, operators, subcontractors, and support personnel that are accomplished at performing their work.

FNC has conducted the excavation and management of all types and classes of soil from small commercial projects to large scale grading and excavating. The FNC team has extensive combined technical experience, and we are well known for our ability to handle complex grading and excavating projects. We specialize in investigative trenching for potential impacts to soil, fault trenching, slope stabilization and reconstruction, deep earth excavations, remedial excavating and soil management, environmental restorative grading, as well as grading for future building sites.

Site safety is our first priority when performing our work. We take pride in our safety record and maintain a strict protocol as it relates to safety meetings, work procedures, site communication, and site delineation. Our equipment operators have completed OSHA Competent Person Training for Excavation and Trenching and are accustomed to daily safety meetings. Our goal, always, is to assist and support our clients' needs and to do so in safe working environment.

Soil Transport and Disposal

FNC coordinates the loading and transport of soil, concrete, and other materials for off-site treatment, recycling, reuse, storage, or disposal. FNC has effectively completed the process of providing transportation services or coordinating services provided by our clients for more than twenty years. To the extent possible, all materials are recycled or reused to minimize disposal costs and reduce client liability.

Underground Utility Locating

Subsurface clearance of offsite as well as onsite utilities is our standard practice using the "One Call System" as well as private locators.

Safe Excavation Practices

Safe excavation practices and the careful implementation of a properly engineered sloping or shoring plan are a standard in the field. Once a system is chosen and implemented, frequent inspections of the trench or bulk excavation are performed by our trained "Competent Person."

Implementation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans

Aggressive onsite and offsite management of BMPs (Best Management Practices) is a strict company policy. Frequent inspections are performed around excavations and stock piles to prevent the loss of sediment or pollutants from both impacted and clean soil. Implementing and maintaining our clients Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan is a top priority throughout the course of a project.
